SHOOT!

Oh dang. I feel SO bad. I jumped right out of bed when I realized I missed it. My heart stopped. I MISSED MY ANNIVERSARY OF THE BLOG! Hmph. Well, at least April Fool's Day is tomorrow! Do you know the prank's you're gonna pull? I HAVE NO IDEA! I'm gonna look up some good pranks on Google. Leave a comment, telling me what prank you did, and how it turned out. I always love a good laugh! Also, tomorrow is my first track meet. YIKES! I'm running the 4x100 meter relay and the 800 meter. AHHH! Haha. Just kidding. I'm not scared. Well maybe a little. Oh and another thing! I decided to stop writing the story "Those Old Old Days". I want to make a romantic mystery novel. Kind of like Twilight. It's called, "The Follower". My plot is pretty good, if I must say so myself. I'm really into this book, this time, so when I DO finish it, I'll put a copy on here or something. Oh yeah and one more thing. Here is a site to help you with your April Fool's pranks:
www.funnypracticaljokes.com/funny-pranks.php
Also this is a really good prank. Switch all the cereal bags in a different box, so when your family goes to pour their cereal, they get all mixed up! Thanks for reading and I'm really sorry!

Good luck on your pranks,

Science Experiment

First things first. I decided to change things up a bit. Second thing is today is my friend's birthday, her name is Aylissa, so that picture is dedicated to her. I'm here!! Today I have to my first trial of my science experiment. I am seeing which candle lasts longer. A scented or a non-scented. My hypothesis is scented (Yes, most people think non-scented but I wanted to be different and take a chance). My testable question is: Do scented candles last longer than non-scented candles? I have to watch them burn for like 3 hours, but they are tea lights so they won't last for a very long time. I'm starting in about a half an hour. I'm not getting into real details like I did for my steps when you had to write them down at school, but I will give you the basics.
Step 1- Put the candles in the same environment, a little bit away from each other.
Step 2- Have someone light the candles at the EXACT same time, while you start the stopwatch.
Step 3- Once one candle has gone out, mark down the time but DO NOT stop the stopwatch.
Step 4- After the second candle has gone out, stop the stopwatch and mark the time.
Step 5- Make sure you put which candle lasted longer.
Step 6- You're finished!
So that is pretty much what I will be doing. Oh and one last thing. HAPPY SPRING!!! It's finally here! Ahh, hardly no more cold weather! Happy weekend everyone! Thanks for reading!

Happy Birthday Aylissa,

Track

Yola it's Splash! I'm doing track this year! It's fun! I hurt my ankle though. Not in track. Before track. So I have to wear this brace thing. It doesn't affect my swimming, so no worries there. I also am NOT missing any swim practices for track. Except maybe for a few meets. My legs are pretty sore, since I'm outta shape. On Monday, I couldn't run since my ankle hurt so bad. When we got the brace, I could run and it didn't hurt! Ahh. What sports do you do?? Track will help me with swimming. YAY! It will make my legs stronger. Oh yeah I totally forgot. An update on JO's!
Our relays did pretty good. Not as good as I wanted. But one of the girls just got over pneumonia. On my individual event, I did good also. I had goggles full of water, and I was right on my best time! Isn't that awesome? One more part. This is dedicated to a few friends.
Bowchicawowow Thats what my baby says!
Mow wow wow  And my heart starts pumping
Chicachicatuop Never gonna stop!
Getchigetchigoo Means that I love you!

(Sorry that is really hard to spell.)
Thanks for reading!

The last day of the A-meet

Sorry I didn't tell you yesterday. I'm a forgetter and that's what I do :). Anyways, I did totally AWESOME yesterday!!!! In my 200 free, I didn't get the JO (Yes I know, very sad) but I did drop 2 seconds!!!! I got 3rd, so I got a flower! OH YEAH! In my 100 back I dropped a second and placed 7th! YAY! In my 100 free I dropped a second, but that wasn't fast enough to get on the podium. The girls I raced are like twice my size! NOT KIDDING! They are huge! I'm not that small either. Here were my times:
200 free- 2:12.64
100 back-1:12
100 free-1:02
I did really good! I'm so happy!! Oh yeah, on Wednesday, we are meditating. For JO's. During practice. Hmph. I'll live with it. I won't let it ruin the JO spirit. It's not THAT bad, but it would be totally fine if we did AFTER or BEFORE practice. Eh, it's not terrible. Well, it's time to get ready for bed! Toodles everyone!

A-meet!

The A-Meet was yesterday, today, and tomorrow! So far I have done quite well! I dropped time in my 2 events yesterday, 200 back and 400 IM, and today I was right on my best times! I placed in both of my events yesterday, 5th and 3rd. I got a flower!!!! It was really fun last night. Today was fun too! I will be sure to tell you how I do tomorrow. I also want to tell you about my blog's anniversary! It's coming up! I am going to have a totally, wicked, blog on my anniversary. Anyway back to the A-Meet. Tomorrow my first event is the 200 free, and I'm going for the JO! I know I can get it. I think I am also swimming the 100 free and 100 back, but not positive. The pool we are swimming at is really awesome! I've never been to it before, so this is my first meet at it. It's very fast too. The only down part is that we have to dive off towels because the blocks are too slippery. We could get hurt if we slipped. I understand. I would also like to ask you to check out my youtube.com channel at:
www.youtube.com/swimminginchlorine
More videos coming soon!
Anyhow, I should probably go eat some dinner. Watch tomorrow for my next blog!

The rest of my results

I got one best time last Sunday! 50 fly, I dropped a second. I was right on my best time in my 200 free. Oh well, I didn't drop. That's okay! I'll do better next time! Anyway, tomorrow is going to be a fun day! My 2 friends play basketball and I don't. They always say I should come to one of their games, so this time, I AM! I'm going with my other 2 friends that don't play b-ball either. It's going to be fun! I have to rush from the pool to my school to see their first game, then I am going to hang out with them and wait for the second game. Hope they do well! I'm very bored right now, and I think I'm going to catch up on my zzzz's. Hehe. Oh I should also tell you, my friends and I are FINGER-KNITTING the American Flag!! It's really awesome. We have to do the blue square and some more stars, finish sewing all the stripes together, and we're done! We started last week! We are fast. There is 8 of us though. I will put a picture on my blog when we finish it. I am thinking we will finish it Thursday or Friday. I think I'm gonna go play Cube World with my brother. Talk to you lata!!!!

Shark Meet!

Well right now the morning session is swimming in the Shark Meet. I'm in the afternoon. Yesterday I got a best time in my 100 free, and we got out JO in the 400 freestyle relay!!!!! WOO HOO! I didn't get best times in everything, but that's okay, because I just had 100% best times at Indy, which was 2 weeks ago. You can't get best times at every meet. Today I am swimming my big race, the 200 free! I'm really excited about that. The pool is really fast, and short. The blocks are weird though. They are super low. But they still make me have a fast dive!!!! I hated warm-ups though. I hope they spread us out a little more,  but that probably won't happen. I'm not even kidding about this. We had at least 30 kids in our lane. NOT KIDDING, NOT EXAGGERATING! 30-45 kids in our lane! It was so crowded. And this one girl from Gold 2 was being really mean. I'm a lot faster and she wouldn't let me go ahead. Don't tell anyone but I turned around with in front of her and it worked! I got ahead. But she kept scratching my feet so I just kicked her. Haha. That's what we swimmers do. Anyway, I'll blog again tonight after I'm done swimming. Toodles!

Did you like those warm days?

Hiya! Sorry I didn't blog sooner, but there has been nothing to blog about really. Did you guys like those warm days? I know I did! It was 65 degrees! I wore a light jacket and some capris! It was pretty awesome! I went outside and rode my bike, and I also went to my Grandma's house. We went for a mile long walk. It was fun. I always have fun at her house. As I said, I went for a bike ride. I went with my dad, my mom, and my dog. Yes, my dog. You were probably thinking my brother, but he was playing with his friends. My dog can run with us because there is this special thing like a collar on my dad's bike and it just hooks on the bike then you put it on her, and she can run with us. If you get ahead of my dad, then she runs really fast, and all my dad has to do is steer. What did you guys do when it was warm? Spring break is in April, which is coming up soon! Everyone thinks, ugh its two months away, its not even close! Well it is actually. The year has been flying by, so before you know it, it'll be warm and sunny, and you'll be on break! Oh and I just remembered! I have a youtube account now, I just made one. I have 2 videos, because the one about Valentine's Day stopped early, so I deleted it. Please check them out at www.youtube.com/swimminginchlorine
Thanks!

Mistakes Michael Made

Most of you have probably not heard about the breaking news because it came out today so I will inform you. Michael Phelps was caught smoking pot. Yes that's right, you heard me, smoking pot. Michael Phelps is 23 years old and was out partying a few months ago at a college. He committed this crime about 6 months ago but they just caught him.  One of the students handed him the pot and he knew exactly what to do. This is one of the big mistakes he has made in the past years. Drunk driving, using the wall as a bathroom in a hotel room, and now this?! I, and many of my swimming friends, always thought Michael was like an idol to us. We did reports, made posters, always talked about him, and ALWAYS watched the news if he was on it. Now, we are really disappointed. If you want to learn more please visit www.swimroom.com
Michael said in his newest blog on www.swimroom.com "I engaged in behavior which was regrettable and demonstrated bad judgement. I am 23-years-old, and despite the success I have in the pool, I acted in a youthful and inappropriate way, not in a manner that people have come to expect from me. For this, I am sorry. I promise my fans and the public - it will not happen again."
That is what Michael Phelps said on February 1, 2009 at 1:32 PM. Can we believe it?

Indiana!

Guys I am so sorry I didn't blog sooner! I feel really bad.  Last weekend we had a meet in Indiana. It was the the BB meet. Friday I swam the 500 and free and.......... GOT MY JO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My time was 5:49. something. Then on Saturday I swam the 200 IM, 100 fly, and 50 free and a relay. I got best times in everything! Except the relay because it doesn't count since its not individual. But we still did good in that! Then on the last day I swam the 200 free, 100 free, and 100 back. I got best times in all of those too! Here are my times:
200 IM- 2:38 (Dropped 2 seconds)
100 fly- 1:15 (Dropped 3 seconds)
50 free- 29.71 (Dropped a little)
200 free-2:15.01 (Dropped 1 second)
100 free- 1:03.00 (Dropped 2 seconds)
100 back- 1:13 (Dropped 2 seconds)
Those are my times! My friend, Katie, didn't get to go, and she really missed me and all my friends that went. I did bring my computer to talk to her, and that was fun. If you are some of my friends that went, then we had very good memories didn't we?! Thanks for looking at my blog. I will have a new one later today. GO PAWW! GOOD JOB TO EVERYONE WHO WENT TO THE MEET! And of course I missed you Katie.

Where do you want to go to college?

Hi guys! I've always wanted to go to University of Texas, and that is my dream. I want to get a full scholarship for swimming, but I want to go there for journalism and photography. I want to write a book on the ocean, with photographs in it. Sounds cool right? My friend, Katie, wants to go to University of Florida for astronomy. My friend, Jordan, wants to go the college Michael Phelps trained at for swimming and journalism. It's in Michigan. My friend, Madison, also wants to go to Florida like Katie, but for journalism. We all like to write! I have a lot more friends, and when I find out what they want to go to, I will edit this blog. University of Texas is in Austin, Texas. It is a really nice college, home to Ian Crocker. They are the longhorns! as you can see at the top.  The most famous thing on campus is the Clock Tower which you can see in the top right corner.  I will be putting lots of pictures in my upcoming blogs, if you are wondering. Anyway, please post a comment, telling me what college you want to go to, what college you are in, or what college you went to. Thanks for checking out my blog!

Hildy and Me

This is just like Marley and Me, but with my fur-ball, Hildy. Hildy is a beautiful German Shepherd. She is black with tan legs. Very pretty dog. She was only 7 weeks old when we got her on that cold November night in 2006. She was so tiny then. Now she is the biggest dog I've ever seen. We call her a fur ball because she is just hair! She sheds everywhere! That first year was the hardest. We had to train her to sit by the door when she had to go to the bathroom. We had to train her to be obedient. And it snowed so much that year!! She loved snow. Whenever we took her out to go to the bathroom, it took forever to come back in. She would play around in the snow and it was hard to control her. When we got her, her name was Lovey, but it didn't fit her. So finally we came up with the name Hildy. Her full name is Hildy Von Pib and then our last name which I will not say. Pib stands for Pain in butt. Don't ask my mom made it up. Anyway, now Hildy and I always play with each other, lay on the floor next to each other and watch TV, and just mess around. I don't get her too wound up because then it's hard to calm her down. So that is what I have to say about Hildy and Me.
