Horror Movie

So last week, a few of my friends and I made a horror movie. It was pretty funny, not very horrorish. Here's the whole movie, shortened, less details, you get the point =].
Us "teenagers" are coming home from a night of partying for our friend's (named Emily) birthday party. She walks into the garage, and when we are walking away we hear screaming, choking noises, and then a yelp. Two of our friends goes in to see what is going on and we hear those same noises. Then out of no where, Emily pops out, with blood on her face and a bloody jump rope around her neck, and says:
I've eaten your friends, and I will eat you too.
She starts to chase us and we quickly run, but I (state champion soccer play, Kristen) don't realize we are running and get a late start, and I am the next victim of the attack. After the last two girls get away, they run into the backyard and into the AppleSlice Cabin. One of the victims' head is in the window of the cabin, and then the IT (Emily) appears. Then the movie ends, and we have credits and a little explanation of what happened after the movie ended.
It was freezing cold outside, but it was a blast. We are making another one in the summer, called, The IT returns. I can't wait! Thanks for reading and STAY WARM!

Will we be ready?

My dad did some math, and gave me his results. Keep reading to find out.
Between now and the next meet (in January) we will have 40 practices at least 6500 yards each for a total of 260,000 yards. We will do around 10,000 turns, and 1,00 block starts. That is over 150 miles of swimming. We will burn 30,000 calories in the water. Will we be ready in January? You decide.
Our practices are intense, and we don't slack or skip, we shut up and swim. Try and mess around in our practices, our coach may let you, he says you only hurt yourself (as in getting slower, not actually spraining an ankle or anything). Wanna mess around during a long set? Go ahead, be my guest, I just can't wait to see your reaction at the next meet! I am pumped up for these doubles, during Christmas break. It will be tough, and I will probably eat so much my family will puke just from watching me, but whatever. =]. Anyway, I hope you have a good weekend, and thanks for reading! (Oh, and please comment, and give me your opinion on this! Will we be ready? Yes or no, why or why not? Thanks!)

Calories

Wow, I am so sorry I haven't blogged in SUCH a long time. Junior high is hard, and we have a lot of projects. Anyway, today's blog is about how many calories I ate in one day. This is about the size of food I eat in a day, so it's not like I just pigged out to make it look like I eat a lot. I wrote down everything I ate on a Saturday, and I got a lot of calories, which is good, because I need a lot to build muscle, since I burn at least 2400 every day. Here is what I had:
BREAKFAST: 2 Poptarts, 1 pkg mini muffins, 2 hard boiled eggs.
LUNCH and DINNER: 1 hotdog, 1 brownie, bag of puppy chow, 2 suckers, 2 hersey mini, turkey sub, 8 hard boiled eggs, 2 cups butter popcorn.
DRINKS: Cup of OJ, Cup of Gatorade, 2 Cokes, 1 water, 1 vanilla milk, 1 hydrive.
All together that equals 3550 calories. Isn't that kinda cool? I mean, where do I fit all this? I never feel stuffed either. The first time I felt stuffed in a long time was yesterday! Ha. Anyway, I've gotta go. Gotta get ready for swim practice! Thanks for reading, hope you have a great Black Friday! =]

Swim meet! :D

Today I had a swim meet! I went to practice this morning, then at around 1:00 I left for the meet. It was just me and this boy named Alex from my team, but I dropped 10 seconds in my 1000. My cap started to creep off at about 750, and by 900, it was off! My goggles then started to fill up with water, but I all out sprinted so I could finish. I had a killer cramp, but I dropped time and got the zone. I was really close to the record for my team, so I'm hoping to get that next time. I had a really fun time though. I got to see all my friends from the other teams, and hang out with them like I was part of their team. Lemme tell you, those girls and boys are pretty wild... you know exactly who you are :)
Anyway, I was glad I went. My friend, Jake, counted for me for most of it, and then Alex's mom took over because he was in the next heat with Alex. Yeah, for the long distance the heats went girls, boys, girls, boys. Fastest to slowest. I was in the first heat, which meant I was the fastest of the girls. Well, I am pretty exhausted, so I better get some sleep. I have Church tomorrow, then chilling out, then off to swim practice!

SPOOOK!

Sorry I haven't blogged lately. Really busy! By the way, I'm 12! Yep, I turned 12 last Saturday, the 17th!! Anyway, today was the last day of our annual meet, SPOOK! I got 100% best times, I am so happy! I had the best meet ever! Did I mention I had a blast? Well, I did! Guess what I was entered as in the meet? SPLASH! It was pretty funny. Anyway, I videotaped my friends' races, and chilled out with my other friends! Yesterday was probably the funniest day of my life! I swam, let's see, 11 events (9 if you don't count the relays). I swam the mile yesterday, and dropped two minutes! I'm going for the senior cut by the end of the year. I also got to see some of my best friends from other teams! Yes, if that is shocking to you, I DO have friends from other teams. Haha. I'm very tired though. It's been a long weekend. Right now, I'm watching AFV (America's Funniest Videos). It's pretty hilarious. Can you believe it? Halloween is almost here! I am going to be someone who was in a car crash, with my two of my four best friends! We are going shopping on Thursday to finish up the costumes. I'm so excited! Whoa, gotta go! I just realized how hungry I am! Thanks for reading!

Done with cross country, and swimming=intense

Sectionals for XC (Cross country) was on Saturday. I got my second fastest time, in the freezing cold!! It was really fun. I wanna say good job to my school, and all the XC runners! And also good job to my friend Jared, because he almost made it to state! Great job everyone! I had a blast in the season, and I'm glad I did it.
Today I had a test at swim practice, and it was pretty tough. I think I did pretty good though. Anywayy, for Jared (who I know is reading this), I am not corny! :D. Haha, but I love gold! Even though the boys can be a little, well, let's say weird, I enjoy it. This morning we had morning practice too, and it wasn't REAL hard, but it was kinda hard. Today was pretty hard because of the test, but other than that it was good. The test, lemme tell ya, was really hard! I got dizzy in the middle, but I was hungry. Haha, I'm always hungry, so like it makes a difference! Ugh, back to school tomorrow after a nice 4 day weekend. Oh well, I'll get over it. At least it's a short week!!Well, gotta go! My first test!

Alright so when you read this title, you probably thought I was talking about a school test. Well no, I've already had about a billion of those. I'm talking about my first test, in swimming! We had to swim for 30 minutes straight (T30) and see how many yards we could get in. Let me tell you, it's not as easy as it sounds. I got 2400, and the person who got the most, (Matt) got 3050! It's REALLY hard and tiring. I took it out nice and quick, then kept a long pace, and then sped up on the last 5 minutes. I was wiped after that! I slept good that night, lemme tell you. Today was pretty tiring too. 7000 yards total! The chlorine was really strong today, so everyone was coughing like mad! My throat was burning, but I worked through it. After practice I chugged like my whole Propel. Our practices have been really hard, which isn't surprising I mean this is gold right? Oh and did you hear? The olympics isn't in Chicago! Some of you may be bummed, but I sure am happy. My chance at making it to the olympics would be in 2016, and I didn't want it to be in Chicago! I've been there a billion times! I wanted it to be somewhere exotic, and guess what? My dream came true! Brazil! How amazing is that? Oh wow, I just looking at the time and it's almost 10:00. Gotta go to bed! Thanks for reading!

GOLD!

Man I keep dying! Well not in practice but after. I'm like so exhausted! It's really fun though. I have friends in that group, and I think I'm always laughing. We had to fill out this 3 page goal sheet though. It wasn't too hard, but I've been so used to other goal sheets. For the younger groups, It's the same old questions every year.
Name:___. Age:___. Birthday:___. Group:___. Team:___. Will you attend every practice and be on time?:___. What are your goals for this year?:___
Yeah well for Gold, it's so different! Our coach typed it all up and asks you how you will get better, how you act during the different kind of sets (Kick, Pull, Swim, Sprints, Dives, Turns, Tests). It's pretty amazing how everything changes from silver to gold! I really love it though. It's really fun, and it's really helping me! Well I gotta go! Thanks for reading!

Okay so now that swimming started and I moved up, I am so busy! Here's my schedule:
Monday- 5:30-7:30 Swim Practice
Tuesday- 3:20-4:15 Cross Country. 4:15-5:10 Homework/Dinner. 5:30-7:30 Swim Practice. (Come home and chill or finish homework.)
Wednesday- (Same as ^^ there)
Thursday- (Same as ^^ there)
Friday- Nothing!
Saturday- Morning swim practice, evening run.
Sunday- Swim practice 6:30-8:30
REPEAT.
Pretty booked, eh? Well when cross country ends, it'll be a little less tight. But until then, I can only do stuff on Friday night, Saturday afternoon, and Sunday afternoon! Okay now back to what I REALLY want to talk about. Today at cross country we ran 3 miles, I came home, did some homework, then went off to swim practice to swim 5,400 yards. It was pretty exhausting! I'm worn out! Luckily, I didn't have much to do other than a poster tonight. On Tuesdays we have library so I finished all my homework in there. Hopefully there will be some spare time tomorrow so I can work on my homework at school! Well, I gotta go get ready for bed. Thank's for reading!!

Cross Country meet!

Oh wow! Last night was so much fun! Our course was odd. We ran through this tall grass for our first lap, then once we passed the shelter at the park, we went by the river on our second lap. There was so much sand it was so hard to run through! But the good news is... I GOT A BEST TIME! My new time is 14:55 and I placed fourth at the meet! I am so happy! This time, I really did feel like I was going to puke. I burped and was like, "Oh crap, I'm gonna hurl now." Luckily I didn't, but it was a close call. I am really happy about my time. The course was actually kind of difficult. But it was fun. Oh and I've been being a real brat lately and I have no idea what's up. So I'm really sorry dad. I guess there's something wrong with me.
Whatever back to the subject. I have to run today, since I won't be able to make it to cross country tomorrow. I have swim practice. Speaking of swim practice... IT STARTED UP AGAIN! Finally! I had dryland last Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Then I had real practice the next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. And now, the real schedule starts. Every day except Friday! That's a lot of swimming but who cares! I love it! Well gotta go! Thanks for reading!

6th grade and Cross country!

Wow. Have I been busy or what? Sixth grade is actually kinda hard. I had some projects for different classes, a few tests, and a ton of homework! That's why I haven't had a chance to blog. Swimming finally started up again! I'm so happy!! Anyway, today is my second cross country meet! My first one I placed 11 out of 63! My time was 15:38. I was really happy with my performance. Oh and some more things! I have to hurry and finish up, because I have to get ready for cross country tonight, and make it to school! Gaa! Alright I promise, after I finish my homework tonight I will blog about my cross country meet! I really gotta get going!
SHOUT OUT: To my parents, for taking me everywhere. I really appreciate it, I know it's exhausting. I love you!

First Cross Country Meet

OMG! Today was my first Cross Country meet. There were 64 girls in it, and I got 11th! Final time of 15:39. I think that is really good! No one had run this course ever, not even last year, because the park we were supposed to run at is under construction, so we moved to a different park. This one was really nice, because it was mostly flat, no hills, just a few holes and sticks. It was really fun. I love cross country because I love long distance, I enjoy having the quitness when you aren't around the crowd, and the competition. It's amazing. After the race I thought I was gonna puke. I was holding my knees and thinking,
"Oh Dear Lord Please don't let me puke. I'm not in the mood to puke. Oh man I think I am gonna be sick. Thanks."
But luckily, I didn't get sick! I was dying of thirst though. And I also couldn't feel my legs. I thought I was going to fall over. It was a really fun day today though. Well I gotta get going! School is getting pretty tough, but also, I'm getting used to it. Just some large homework assignments. See you later! Thanks for reading!

Cross Country again!

I had cross country again tonight! It was fun. We did 6 laps on Indian Runs (Hard to explain, but that equals 3 miles.) Then we did a lap for time, I dropped 6 seconds from my best! We also did a lap for warmup, leg outs, arm circles, and wall sits. Trust me, I am SORE! I have school tomorrow, and I have to walk around, so this will be fun ;). Anyway, I wasn't very tired tonight. I think I am getting a lot better. Today I also had a pool party :). It was a BLAST! It was my friend's, his name is Hunter. I took 4 videos, and 100 pictures. The friends I have... wow I'm so proud of them :). JK! Hahahaha. Anyway, I'm glad I got to go, it was really fun, even if the boys did attack us with basketballs and stuff! At least we had shields. Haha. I got him 15 dollars. My friend got him a tiara and earrings. (The clip on kind.) It was funny! He wore them too! We also jammed out to music. Well I've got school tomorrow, so I gotta get to bed. Anyway, thanks for reading and have a good school day!

Summertime is over, but I'm a sixth grader!

So probably most people are sad that summertime is over.  But some people might be really excited for school! I am half and half. I miss summer, but sixth grade is amazing. And hard. It's confusing because we are switching classes and carrying all these books around. At least my arms will get stronger! The other hard thing about sixth grade is that our lunch period has changed. Instead of eating lunch at 11:35, we eat at 12:00. And from 11:07 to 11:53 we are in Religion class which is right near the lunch room, so it's like being tortured because you can smell the delicious food. My friend and I actually plugged our nose because it made us so hungry. Some things I love though, are the lockers, and I do enjoy switching classes. The lockers are awesome though. I was worried I wouldn't get a friend for a locker partner, but luckily I got one of my best friends, Rachel!! We are going shopping on Saturday for locker accessories. It's going to be so much fun! Well I'm watching some TV so I think I'm going to get back to watching it. Thanks for reading and enjoy school!

Sketchers

So I've noticed Sketchers copies like any brand of shoe. Ed Hardy, Sanuck, Air Jordan. It's really annoying and a rip-off.  I own a pair of Ed Hardy shoes and the ones Sketchers has are not even close to cool. The REAL Ed Hardys are extremely cool. You know the Sanucks aren't as comfy, or as cool either. I own a pair of Sanucks also, and there is no way that Sketchers can top these shoes. I don't own a pair of Air Jordans, but I can tell they aren't as cool looking. Wouldn't you rather have the real thing, and not some crappy copy? I would. I mean really Sketchers, I like your school shoes and all, but stop trying to copy name brands. It's REALLY annoying. Oh and this is kinda off subject but I want to apologize to my dad. I've been kinda bratty lately, and I don't know what's up. So, I'm sorry. Anyway, back to the subject. Sketchers has some kinda cool tennis shoes, and some really comfy and cool school shoes, but these copies, this is just wrong. This is over the line. The copies are really quite ugly, and it's very uncool to copy. Sanucks are one of the best shoes ever, and I would recommend them. Ed Hardys are really awesome, but only if you're into that punk/rock style. And Air Jordans are really cool if you are a hardcore basketball player. So I would recommend not buying the copies from Sketchers, because if you want to be in style, buying the copies would definitely make you unfashionable. Anyway, thanks for reading!

JO's results... kinda late?

Sorry about not giving you my JO's results! I just realized that when I looked at my recent posts! Well I didn't do too hot, but oh well there was a reason to that. I won't mention it though. I was right on my best time in the 200 free, gained 6 seconds in the IM, and gained 8 seconds in the 400 free. Oh well. Hehe there was kind of a HUGE problem on Thursday night at the hotel. My dad realized that I left my swim bag... at home. So we had to call my friend's mom who was coming up the next day for the meet, so she could meet my Grandpa, so she could get in and get my swim bag. It was quite the night. But on Saturday we went to Six Flags! It was freaking amazing!! I had a blast! The Tornado and the wave pool were my favorite water things. And then my fave roller coaster was The American Eagle. Well I'm gonna get going. Thanks for reading!

New haircut!!

I got a new haircut!! It's so amazingly cute! I had long red hair down past my shoulders and now its forward diagonal and almost to my shoulders. Oh and I have swoopy bangs! It's soo cute. Okay if you know my cell, text me and I will email you a pic because my phone is stupid and won't let me receive or send out pictures at the moment. If you don't, well sorry! :). Anyway, swimming is done for the month, but we start back up in September. My last meet was on Thursday, and it was open water for zones. It was so much fun! A lot of people didn't go because of the algae, but there wasn't any except on the swamp part, but we weren't anywhere close to that when we were swimming. I had a blast with my friends from other teams though. Haha the friends I have :). Anyway, I am kinda excited for school and kinda not. I mean, I'm going into the sixth grade, and I am excited to switch classes, have salad bar, and have lockers. But the worst part about that is... HOMEWORK. Makes me wanna cry right now and I'm not even in school! Haha. Well I'm gonna go, and apologies for not blogging in such a while. I've been a busy bee. I will blog more often, I promise :]. Cross Country

So on Sunday night, I had cross country practice! My brother, even though he is a year younger then what you have to be to run cross country, ran with us! He is really good. The practice was hard. At the end of the practice, we had to run for time, and it was about an 800 or so, and I dropped 6 seconds from my time from last week! I was so happy! Cross Country is so much fun! It's really long too haha. I run every Sunday night for now, but it will be like every other day when school starts, which is really soon!! :(. Anyway, this is a really fun sport. I guess I really like running. Swimming is my life though. These are my favorite sports:
1. SWIMMING!!!
2. Track
3. Cross Country
See? I like running a lot, but swimming is my thing. Oh and did I forget to tell you? JO'S IS THIS WEEKEND! I'm leaving tomorrow :). Oh and on Saturday, we are going to... SIX FLAGS! After I swim of course! Well I gotta go, early JO practice tomorrow morning. Practicing relay starts and such. Thanks for reading!

JO's is coming up!

JO's!! In about 11 days, but I'm leaving on Thursday, the day before JO's actually starts. The events I am swimming are
Friday- 200 free
Saturday- 200 IM and 400 medley? relay: Stroke- Breaststroke
Sunday- 400 free and 400 free? relay: Stroke- Freestyle
I can't wait! The hotel I am staying at gives pedicures and stuff like that. It's going to be great. Oh and another big detail I forgot. We are swimming at a brand new pool! Ever since I was 8 I have been to EVERY JO's, and they have all been at the same pool. This year, it's a brand new pool, and I have NO clue what it looks like! I'm excited, and nervous. I'm excited because, who wouldn't be excited for JO's?! And nervous because, I've never swam at this pool, and who isn't nervous before any big, important race? Gosh, I am just so EXCITED! Oh yes, and one last thing. On my blog that gives you words that we use in the texting world, or chatting with friends on Facebook, here are 2 more.
Your- Ur or Yr
Away From Keyboard- AFK (Use that sometime, and see what your friends say. I doubt hardly any of them know what that means!) Well thanks for reading!! I will blog again soon :]

Mini Carnival

On Tuesday at 8:30 A.M. the neighbors and I headed outside and to one of the neighbor's yards to set up for a miniature carnival we were having. We would have tons of games and things to do, and of course, prizes. The carnival included:
Petting Zoo (Guinea Pigs, Chip and Bingo)
Look for a Smile (You pick up a rock out of the baby pool, and if it has a smiley on the bottom, you win a prize.)
Ball to the Bucket (Throw a ball to any of the 3 buckets)
Scavenger Hunt
Bounce Around (An inflatable castle)
Refreshments
Fuze Ball
Face Painting
Tattoos
All the money we raised, we are going to donate to T.A.P.S, a no-kill animal shelter. We finally opened everything up at around 11:00 A.M., and had a ton of people come. We put up signs around the neighborhood about the carnival, and also gave out to flyers to people who had kids. In the end, at around 1:30 P.M., we had over 60 dollars to give to T.A.P.S! It was amazing. It cost 50 cents to get in, and 25 cents for another 10 tickets. We are going to have another carnival again one more time before summer ends, and instead of calling it "Charity Fun Fair" we are going to call it "Round Up the Summer Carnival". I can't wait! Try doing it sometime, it's a blast, and you feel really good about yourself if you donate to a special cause. Thanks for reading!

Weekend meet

Last night I just got back from an awesome meet! Two new JO cuts, (200 IM, and medley relay) and a TON of best times! Guess what my new stroke is on the relay? BREASTROKE! Isn't that weird? I dropped three seconds in the 100, which made me the second fastest 11-12 girl on PAWW. I am going to JO's in 5 events:
400 free
200 free
200 IM
400 Free relay
400 Medley relay
Isn't that awesome? I am so excited! I had a TON of fun at the meet, and at the hotel. We stalked a boy named Max. It was really fun. Haha. Anyway, tomorrow, the neighbors and I are having a mini carnival. It's going to be awesome, as long as the rain holds off until about 2:00 P.M. Whoops, gotta go put my laundry away, and clean off my bed. Thanks for reading!

Book

I was wondering if you would keep reading the book I'm writing, after reading the preface? If you know me in person, please contact me, but if you don't, I'm sorry. I'll make a special email address for this, so that you can contact me, but at the moment, I don't have one.

PREFACE

When I put all the clues together and realized what he really was, it shocked me. I never gave much thought on why he was always there, I just thought of it as a coincidence. Everyone thought that his family was in town, including me, but we were wrong. I knew I was in over my head when I thought this would all work out. I fell right in. Nothing ever works out the way you want it to. It all just falls apart, right when you think it’s perfect. When things started to get strange, I ignored them. I didn’t even process them in my thoughts. I just completely let them float through my head and out through my ears. Then, things started to get very strange, and when I didn’t listen to my instincts, it came back and bit me in the butt. I’m away from my friends and family. I’m away from my home, my town, my school, my favorite diners. I’m away from everything. My life has come to an end. I’m trapped. Trapped like a rat, in this cellar. Where, you ask? That’s the problem. I don’t know.

So would you keep reading it? If not, why? If yes, why? Is there anything you would like to change, and why? I can't change it just because you ask me too, because it is my book and my decisions. But if you give me a good reason, I could consider it. So please give me some feedback. Thanks for reading!

SWIM MEEEEET!

Hey! I'm so sorry I haven't blogged in a while! I've just been REALLY busy. Anyway, we have a swim meet this weekend, and boy am I pumped! I love this meet so much. It brings back great memories. From the pool, and from hanging out with friends. I can't wait for this year! I am close to a zones cut in 2 events, and I am close to a JO cut in the 200 IM! I really hope it doesn't rain either. Oh and I want to give a quick shout out to my dad, who ROCKS entirely. I couldn't be this good without him. I love you so much, and thanks for EVERYTHING.
I also wanna thank my whole family for giving me the support I need.
One last shout out, to my friends from the pool, and school. Thank you so much for keeping a ton of laughter in my life. I feel like I'm going to puke when I'm with you guys. (From laughing too hard.) If you're reading this, and you're from the pool, you'll understand.
They're gonna get married and have 3 kids, and name them Sla, Ack, and Er. Hahahaha!
I love you girls too much! Anyway back to the blog. I am just SO ready for this weekend. It's gonna be a blast!! Whoops gotta go, it's time for bed! Thanks for reading!

Duct Tape Bracelets!

So today my friend and I are going to make bracelets... out of duct tape! That's right! We are making some for the Fourth of July, because we are going to match when we go to the fireworks, and maybe some more for an idea I have. This summer the neighbors and I have been having lemonade sales and such. We are donating all the money to a near-by no-kill animal shelter. I was thinking my friend and I could make bracelets, bookmarks, and wallets, (maybe more things!) out of duct tape, sell them, and give that money to the animal shelter. I think that would be a great idea, don't you? But back to the fourth of July bracelet idea. We are going to make it striped. Red, then white, then blue. It's going to look so cute! We are also wearing matching shirts, and I think the shirts are awesome. Oh and she is wearing a red cami under her shirt, and I am going to wear a blue one. I'm not sure about the pants or shoes yet. I think I am going to wear my white shorts, and just some tennis shoes. Whoops, I better get going! I have to meet her at the end of my street. Thanks for reading, and I'll blog again soon!

Yesterday and Today

Okay so yesterday went well, as did today. Yesterday I swam:
100 free- Gained 2 seconds
50 fly- Dropped 2 seconds
100 back- Dropped 3 seconds
And today I swam:
200 free- Dropped 2 seconds
100 fly- Right on best time
50 back- Dropped a little
100 breast- Dropped 2 seconds
Overall, I dropped in everything but the 100 free. I am really happy, because I did really well! My 200 free rocked though. I went a 2:27! I was so happy. I am less than 3 seconds from the zones cut! Gosh, I am just so happy. Last night, I also had a birthday party. It was a ton of fun! I was practically laughing the entire time. The girls that were there are hilarious. Anyway, I just got back like an hour and a half ago, so I think I'm gonna just go chill with the family. Thanks for reading!

Another meet!!

Yesterday was another swim meet, but I was there by myself. Yes, my team did not go. It was a fun meet though! I swam the 200 IM and the 400 free.
200 IM- Dropped a little
400 free- Went from a 5:17 to a 5:08. 4 seconds off of the zone!
I am leaving to go to the meet in about 15 minutes, so real quickly let me tell you what I am swimming today.
50 free
50 fly
100 back
100 breast
Then I rush back to get to my friend's birthday party, have the time of my life, then leave from her house to the meet again. What a busy weekend! I am so excited for today! No matter what, whatever I do is fine, because last nights 400 free was amazing, and I just swam all of these events a week ago! When I drop time today, I will be very happy! Oops, gotta get going! We are leaving for the meet! I'll blog tomorrow about how I did today, and everything! Thanks for reading!!!

Favorite set discovered!!

A few days ago during swim practice my coach gave us this set, which I fell in love with! It was just what I like.
2x500 1 easy, 1 hard
2x400 1 easy, 1 hard
2x300 1 easy, 1 hard
2x200 1 easy, 1 hard
2x100 1 easy, 1 hard
It was really great. We did some other sets after that, but this one was my favorite! It has long distance, and the 200 free which I completely ADORE. The 100 free is okay too. Anyway, I have a ton of practices this summer, which means hardly any free time. But that's okay, because when I do have free time, I either spend it with a friend, or with family. Like today. I didn't have morning practice, so I watched Confessions of a Shopaholic with my mom. It was a great movie! I recommend it for like a sleepover or something. Oops gotta go eat dinner, and then off to swim practice! I'll probably blog again tomorrow, if not, then very soon!

Sunday meet

Here are my results from today:
100 free- Dropped a second
50 breast- Dropped some time (I don't know how much)
100 fly- Dropped 6 seconds
50 back- Dropped some time (I don't know how much, but me and my best friend tied exactly!)
400 medley relay- 6 seconds off the JO (That's okay though!)
Those are the things I swam today. I was very happy with my results. I also had a lot of fun at the meet. My friends and I terrorize this boy that is very... let's say odd. Haha. The best times are at the pool. Oh and my three best friends, have their own "business". Two of them had their business with them this morning, and they got a ton of orders. Everyone wanted a bracelet, earrings, necklace, or anklet. They have tons of designs. I thought they looked really cool! I bought 1 dollar and seventy-five cents worth of bracelets and stuff from each of them. They were cracking me up this morning, because they had the stress of owning a business. Anyway, the meet today was a blast. Oops, gotta go! Dinner time! Thanks for reading, and if you're a swimmer and swam at the same meet as me, GREAT job!!!

Meet

This weekend I have a meet. Well, tomorrow is the last day. Here's how I've done so far:
Yesterday:
200 IM- Dropped 8 seconds (2 seconds off the JO)
200 Free- Got the JO, and dropped 2 seconds!

Today:
50 free- I don't really know, but I don't like that event.
100 breast- Not sure either
50 fly- Dropped a second
100 back- Right on best time
400 free relay- We dropped 16 seconds and got the JO!

Tomorrow:
100 free
50 breast
100 fly
50 back
400 free relay
I already have my cut in the 400 free, so we didn't stay for that event today. I scratched. I'm happy that I did too, because my best friend was the alternate, and she needed someone to scratch, and my time is faster, so now that I scratched, she gets to swim! I feel really good about that. Hopefully she gets her cut! Anyway, my goal for this year is to stop crying and getting upset after every event. I'm getting better. After my 50 free, I sucked, and I didn't cry. Oh, and in the car ride home, my dad gave me this good parable.
One day during a cold winter, a bird fell into the snow, and was freezing to death. Along came a cow and the bird begged for the cow to help him, so that he didn't die. The cow just ignored him, and took a nice, big, crap on him, and walked away. The next day, a fox came along, and the bird asked him for help. The fox said sure, picked him up, cleaned him off, and ate him.
Get the moral? Sometimes, your enemies aren't really your enemies, and your friends aren't really there to help. I like that parable. Haha. I'm gonna go wash my hair, so have a nice weekend, and I'll have a short blog tomorrow about my day!

Springfield!

I just got back from a GREAT practice with coach Tracy! It was lovely. We did 7,200 meters, and now I am tired. We did some long free, but some really nice sets.  We did this one set, that I really liked. Here is what it was.
100 fly then 100 free
100 back then 200 free
100 breast then 300 free
200 IM then 400 free
Repeat that twice.
It was awesome! I loved that set. We did a lot of other sets too. My friend, Maggie, was there! She lives in a different country, and she visits every summer. Today was her first practice with us this summer! It was so much fun. It always is though. I am so happy because that was a wonderful practice. Next week we have a swim meet, but the week after that we don't. Anyway, I am really hungry, and my pinkie is bleeding, so I gotta go! Thanks for reading!

Misunderstanding

From all the comments I've been reading, it looks like there is a misunderstanding. I am not picking on one person, I am simply stating whether or not I had a good or bad practice. I enjoy swimming long things, and that may make me weird but I don't care. If you look back, I have had many blogs where I complement the practices. I am not against any coach. Some days I don't like the practice we've done, but yet I still show up and show my respect. I respect any coach who takes there time to come and give us a practice, I just enjoy the longer ones. Everyone has a favorite coach, but just because that favorite coach isn't the coach you have right now, does NOT mean you have anything against him/her. So please, know that you all are taking this the wrong way. I am not against anyone, nor am I picking on anyone. I enjoy long freestyle. Sprints are okay, but they aren't my thing. Thanks for reading, and I hope I cleared everything up.

Interview with... myself?

So I know how you all loved the interviews, and so my friend gave me one. I know it's long but please read all of it.
What is your favorite holiday? Christmas
Who do you despise most? Hmm... Al Gore
What is the most fun you ever had? When I went to Michigan, or the time I went to Six Flags.
What is your most embarrassing moment? When I cried in front of everyone, after a little incident on the way to swim practice.
Your room is blue (not really). Why did you paint over the green? Because blue reminds me of the water I swim in every day. It also relaxes me faster.
If you could do one thing, what would you do? Make the economy better.
Whoops! He just hurt himself trying to climb a pole! What do you do? *Wink Wink* Laugh, because I know who you are talking about, and he was stupid to try and climb it.
What is your favorite pet? My dogs, Lucy and Hildy.
What is your dream for when you get older? To make it to the olympics and get a full scholarship for swimming.
Who is your role model? Dara Torres and my parents. Dara Torres inspires me to never give up and my parents have taught my life lessons and to make the right choices.
What is your favorite song and why? Goodbye by Kristinia DeBarge because I like the lyrics and the beat.
Say you die tomorrow. You get to take three items to heaven, and one person. What and who? My computer (I could video chat with everyone), my phone (So I could call people who don't have instant messaging), and a pool! I would take my Grandma, because I love her dearly. We could still talk to everyone that is on earth.
What do you like most about yourself? My hair and my fair skin. Also my freckles.
Least? My excema (Dry skin)
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go and why? I would go to the Bahamas with my family, so I could see what it's like in a different country where almost every day everyone is on the beach. (That's what I would do if I lived there!)
A package just came to your doorstep. What is the first thing that comes to mind? A swim suit
If you could cure one disease in the world, what would it be and why? Every kind of cancer, because it kills so many people, and it is so serious.
What qualities make you a good friend? I am talkative, funny, kind, I'm always there for you, I'm good at standing up for people, and I have a really fun personality.
Oh no! A guy told you he likes you, but you don't like him back! What do you do? Feel flattered, but don't tell him anything. Someone can have a crush on someone. It's a crush though, and when you have a crush, that doesn't always mean that person likes you back.
I hope you liked the interview. Those were really creative questions! Thanks for reading!

SPRINGFIELD!!!!!

OH MY GOSHNESS!!! THAT WAS THE BEST PRACTICE EVER! AJ's practices are always hard. We did at least, 8000 meters! That is the best! His practice rocked today. It was so much fun, and the water was actually kinda warm! Everyone was breathing really hard. We did a lot of sprints and kick. Also some long distance, my fave! When we first got in the pool, it was FREEZING. I was numb. Then I got used to it, and so did everyone else. After the lunch break, when we had to get back in, it was cold again. But since the sun was out, I warmed up ten times faster then when we first got in. Anyway, I found out some good news today. We get AJ on Tuesday and Thursday nights! BRING ON THE HARDNESS! Wow, I can't wait. That was really fun and hard today. I am worn out! Haha. Our summer schedule starts now. Practices every day except Sunday! AHG! But I love the summer swimming season. It's always really fun. And my friend's birthday party soon. And my friend that lives in a different country, but always visits during the summer, is coming back on June 12!! She is swimming on the 13th in Springfield! Wow, I have the jitters. There are so many things to be excited about. Well, I'm gonna go work on my book I am writing. Thanks for reading another blog!

Springfield... again

Saturday... Springfield practice... with an awesome coach who I haven't had in a LONG time... A.J.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh my gosh I can't wait. Last year his practices ROCKED! They were the best. You can ask anyone that went to all of them. They were hard, and long. Just what I liked. The 50 meter pool is fun to swim in with him. I am not sure why, but I LOVE long course in 50 meter pools. And I can't wait to swim with A.J.! They are always hard. OMG I AM SO EXCITED! Now we know they won't be easy like last Saturday. La la la la la I can't wait la la la la la! Anyway, I am on summer break, and it has been really fun! I spent the night at a friend's house, and we played a prank on her little sister. We also had spa night. That was fun too. I LOVE SUMMER BREAK!!! My summer consists of:
TONS of swimming
Swimming
More swimming
Yeah a LOT of swimming
Hanging out with friends
Sleepovers!
Maybe vacation?
Having fun!
Who said my whole summer was swimming?! Haha. I do other things too! Anyway, I gotta get going!! Thanks for reading!

Springfield

So Springfield practices weren't what I expected. Less I mean. That's okay. Sunday night with Gold was amazing. A very hard practice. I realized that my legs were extremely sore during this practice tonight. Gold is always really hard, but last night was H-A-R-D. But fun. How does that work? Well you know me, I like the hard stuff. Anyway, it's storming pretty bad here. When lightning strikes, it lights up the whole sky, and you can see the lightning in the sky. It's pretty cool, but a little scary. Haha. Okay, back to the point. I really really really like gold practices, but here is the bad news. That was our last one. In the summer, our schedule changes dramatically. Instead of having practice on Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights. We have double practices on those days. We still have night practices though. Except Friday. We only have morning practice there. And instead of a 2 hour practice on Saturday, we have a 4 hour practice. And no practices on Sunday. And we have night practices on Thursday and Tuesday.  Anyway, you can see how we have to get used to a different schedule in the summer. But the one thing that changes for every practice besides Saturday is that it's only 1 hour and a half. For each. That flies by when your swimming. Oh my goodness my lights keep flickering! DON'T THE POWER GO OUT PLEASE! IT'S TOO HOT!!!!! It was 90 today. I really don't like hot weather. It makes me sweaty. And I don't like being sweaty. Haha. Well, I gotta go! Thanks for reading!!!
Here comes the hotness of summer,

LONG practices

On Saturday, at 7:30 A.M., a few kids in the group of silver, and the whole group gold, will be heading down to Springfield, to have a 4 hour practice in a long course pool. In Peoria, we don't have a long course pool, and the closest one that is open is Springfield. I can't wait! I love Springfield practices. There are EXTREMELY hard. The pool isn't heated, and it's supposed to be a little chilly, so we are going to have to swim almost non-stop. It will be too cold to stop. I am looking forward to the torture, because I LOVE long things. Just to keep warm we will have to swim some very hard core sets, and by the end of it, it will add up to about 8000 meters. The practices start at 7:30 and end at 11:30, with only a half hour lunch break. There is no time for drills, we have to keep moving to stay warm! There will be fast intervals that we must make. We have to work hard, because the head coach is watching our every move!! Ivan, the head coach, told people that sat out, not to come back. NO SITTING OUT!
Rules for Springfield Practices
1. NO SITTING OUT
2. MAKE THE INTERVALS
3. WORK EXTREMELY HARD
4. NO CHEATING
5. NO GOOFING OFF
Those are rules you have to follow if you want to keep coming back. Well I'm pretty hungry, I should go eat. Bye!

SCHOOL'S OUT FOR SUMMA!

Hiya! I'm a sixth grader now! WOO WOO! Our last day was Friday! I am so relieved. It was a rough school year, lemme tell ya! I have to admit, it was a fun one. I can't wait for next year. I get to switch classes! The only reason I'm scared for sixth grade is the homework. HOMEWORK. The worst thing in the world. I'm going to be REALLY busy this coming school year, but I'm not going to worry about it. It's time to enjoy summer! On Saturday, my friend had a party that was the theme of our swim team. It was so fun. We didn't have swim practice yesterday because it's Memorial Day Weekend. So, we got on the huge trampoline in her backyard, pulled out the hose, soaked ourselves and since the hose didn't reach the trampoline, we filled up buckets and watering cans and poured them on the tramp. We did it over an over until it was SOAKED. Then we did butt busters, and all the water sprayed up. We jumped really high, and got some good pictures. It was so fun. Just the perfect way to start off our summer. :D. Well, if you're still in school, have fun hehe. If you're not, have fun in the sun! Thanks for reading.
Happy Summer,

Carbondale!!

Hiya guys!! I just got back from Carbondale on Sunday. I got 100% best times! I have a cold, so that is really good for getting fast times. I got the JO in the 400 free, (It's not a 500 because it's long-course) and was SUPER close in the 200 free. My nose is still super stuffy, but it's getting better. Carbondale was super fun!! The best swim meet ever!!! We went up to the top of the water tower, at the cabins, where we stayed. (When I say we, I mean all my friends and stuff.) Then, when it got dark out, we played freeze tag. But this is the fun part. My friend's mom brought glowsticks, and so each one of us got a different color. Then you picked a partner, who had almost the same color as you, and when you were frozen/it, that was the person who helped you. It was SOOOOO much fun!!!!!! Oh yeah, I wanna tell you, I get out of school on FRIDAY!!!!!! Yay! This week we are cleaning the whole classroom, so there is hardly any work. Just morning work, and then in the afternoon, math! I can't wait for Friday! We get out at 11:00 AM. I'm almost a 6th grader!! Okay well, I gotta get going! Talk to you later! Thanks for reading

Triathlon results

Hey there! I am so sorry I haven't blogged in forever. I have been so busy, and when I tried to write one last week, it turns out there was an error so it didn't post! AHH! Anyway, my triathlon went really well. I got like 35-36 minutes. The bike was the hardest. I was on a mountain bike and there was a big part going uphill. And the wind was blowing against us. It was pretty tough. The swim was the easiest of course. But on the transition, they made you walk to the place where your bikes were. All these kids that finished before me (they did the shorter one) were running to the grass and they slipped. So they made everyone slow down. The run was okay, but after a 4 mile bike, you're pretty tired. There was this little kid, from the Mexican team, (That had REALLY expensive bikes and stuff) and he was doing the shorter triathlon, but everyone was counting on him "beating" me. I could hear them yelling. I wanted to wait until I saw the finish line to start sprinting because I didn't know how far away it was. Well when that boy came up on my feet, I was like, Oh who cares where it is, HE IS NOT PASSING ME!, and then I just full out sprinted. Ha, I beat him. I really want to thank my dad for all this. He put a lot of time into it, and that's special to me. Thanks, Dad.

Irena Sendler VS Al Gore

Did you read my title? Well that is what this blog is about.
Irena Sendler was a Christian who lived in the time of WWII. Her father was a doctor, and always told her to help anyone in need, no matter their religion, social status, or nationality. Irena's father died of typhus. (He caught it from a Jewish patient.)
Irena disguised herself has a infection control nurse and went into the ghetto at least three times a day to try and persuade parents to letting her smuggle their children out using false identities. Sendler carefully recorded each child's Jewish name, Polish name, and address on scraps of tissue paper. She would hide  the records in glass jars to be buried so after the war, the birth parents could find their children.
Despite her nurse's disguise, her expertly forged ghetto transit papers and meticulous skill at smuggling children out in toolboxes, suitcases, old sewer pages, and even coffins, but Sendler was caught. She was arrested and tortured for three months in Pawiak Prison, having her legs and feet broken. She was to be executed, but before it was carried out, Zegota (Polish underground) had spies bribe a guard to help the badly injured Sendler escape. Amazingly she still worked in the Polish underground.
After the war, Irena was shunned into obscurity.

No one knew about Irena until four Kansas City students found about her. She was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007, but the schmuck Al Gore, won it. He gave a freaking PowerPoint presentation on how he "saved the Earth of global warming." Yeah right! Irena saved 2500 children! She was tortured, and went into hiding so they wouldn't come find her after she had escaped! Not many people have that kind of courage.
So what do you think?
IRENA or Al Gore
I pick Irena. I hate Al Gore.
Irena died in May of 2008, at the age of 98.

Puppies and Triathlons?

Yesterday we visited the Animal Shelter. We found a dog we really liked. It was a Rat Terrier. It was so adorable. We said we'd go back after we thought about it, but the day ran out and they closed. So we might go back Monday. My parents are still thinking about it. I really want that dog. If we can't save all of them, then why can't we just save one? My big dog, Hildy, loves small dogs and I think she would like this dog. I would take this dog on walks, because it can't yank my arm out. I'd also clean up Hildy and the dog's poop. Yuck, but I would do it. My brother could feed them and give them water. I'd love to take Hildy on walks, but she is so strong! I really would take responsibilities because it makes me feel better on the inside. Hildy would love a playmate and this dog is so cute. It's not yappy or hyper, it's just perfect for us. I really think we should get this dog.
Next, is my triathlon which is in exactly one week! AHH! Yesterday I went biking with my swim coach, and we did like seven miles? Then we ran a half mile. It was really fun. This is what I have to do:
Swim 200 meters
Bike 4 miles
Run 1.2 miles
I'll sleep well that night! Haha. Today is the PAWW banquet, so I have to get ready at like 1:00. Anyway, thanks for reading and have a nice Sunday.

Running around

Track 5 days in a row!! AHH! Practice Monday, meet Tuesday-Thursday, and another practice yesterday! Lemme tell you how I did.
Tuesday: 800 meters. Gained time, but couldn't feel my toes because it was so cold.
Wednesday: 4x200 and 4x400. I felt like I was going so fast! And I think I was :).
Thursday: 1600, 800, 4x400. My coach took me out of the 800. 1600 I gained time but I always have to do the race twice before I really know how I should do it.
So there are my results. I have to say I did pretty good overall. I love running. It's so fun!! What kind of sports do you do? I love SWIMMING and I really like RUNNING. Today after swim practice I am going bike riding with swim coach and then I am training for a triathlon which is next Sunday, if I am not mistaken. I am excited. I love my swim coach!! :D
Soooo, that's what has been going on lately. Nothing really. Just the normal weekdays. But I AM happy to say this! Only 26 more school days until SUMMER!! YES! Well, ttfn.

Unfair

It's so unfair and stupid. How's this going to help us? Here's what I'm talking about. I used to swim with the higher group, gold, once a week, but that was before it got crowded. Now me and some of my friends can't do that anymore. I was hoping to swim with them over spring break, but nope can't do that either. The practices that we are doing in my group aren't helping us either. We do about 1,600 yards a practice, while gold is doing 12,000 yards a day. We get a "break" from swimming over spring break. YEAH RIGHT! How the CRAP is this going to help us?! Seriously. I'm so mad! My stroke is already nice and smooth, and I need the yards! How are we supposed to get good times? Gold is swimming 12,000 yards a day while we are all sitting on our butts! I'm so sick of laziness, and being unfair. All the kids in gold are whining about how they are sore, while all we can say is, "We are sitting on our butts all day doing nothing. Sounds fun hmm?" GOSH I'M SO SICK OF IT! Can you actually think of the outcome this will bring us?! If we are only doing 1,600 yards a day, and we go to a meet and swim long distance, how do YOU think we'll do? I just love PAWW >:O

Track meets

On Wednesday I had a track meet, and I ran the 800 and the 4x100 relay. I did good in both of them!! I love the 800 so much!!!!!!!! Yesterday I ran the 1600 and the 4x400 relay. I was so exhausted after my 1600! I would rather do the 800. The 4x400 relay went really good. I was really tired though. But I have another meet on Monday, and I am so ready! My coach said that I was probably one of the ONLY fifth graders that could run that fast in the mile. It was really fun I have to admit. Running and swimming are like the same. I would rather do the 500 free, over the 1000, but I would still do it. I would rather run the 800 over the mile, but I would still do it. So can you tell something out of the distance that I run/swim? Yeah you got it. I hate sprints :P! Surprising. Everyone loves sprints. Not me. Too short. BLAH! Anyways, a lot of my friends run. It's a blast. Track is really gonna help me with swimming too. I can already feel it in my legs hahaha. I'm jamming out to my iPod right now. Hmm, that was random. So I am pretty pumped for Monday. I REALLY want to run the 800. REALLY BAD! Thanks for reading. I'll blog in tomorrow about something....

SHOOT!

Oh dang. I feel SO bad. I jumped right out of bed when I realized I missed it. My heart stopped. I MISSED MY ANNIVERSARY OF THE BLOG! Hmph. Well, at least April Fool's Day is tomorrow! Do you know the prank's you're gonna pull? I HAVE NO IDEA! I'm gonna look up some good pranks on Google. Leave a comment, telling me what prank you did, and how it turned out. I always love a good laugh! Also, tomorrow is my first track meet. YIKES! I'm running the 4x100 meter relay and the 800 meter. AHHH! Haha. Just kidding. I'm not scared. Well maybe a little. Oh and another thing! I decided to stop writing the story "Those Old Old Days". I want to make a romantic mystery novel. Kind of like Twilight. It's called, "The Follower". My plot is pretty good, if I must say so myself. I'm really into this book, this time, so when I DO finish it, I'll put a copy on here or something. Oh yeah and one more thing. Here is a site to help you with your April Fool's pranks:
www.funnypracticaljokes.com/funny-pranks.php
Also this is a really good prank. Switch all the cereal bags in a different box, so when your family goes to pour their cereal, they get all mixed up! Thanks for reading and I'm really sorry!

Good luck on your pranks,
