A-meet!

The A-Meet was yesterday, today, and tomorrow! So far I have done quite well! I dropped time in my 2 events yesterday, 200 back and 400 IM, and today I was right on my best times! I placed in both of my events yesterday, 5th and 3rd. I got a flower!!!! It was really fun last night. Today was fun too! I will be sure to tell you how I do tomorrow. I also want to tell you about my blog's anniversary! It's coming up! I am going to have a totally, wicked, blog on my anniversary. Anyway back to the A-Meet. Tomorrow my first event is the 200 free, and I'm going for the JO! I know I can get it. I think I am also swimming the 100 free and 100 back, but not positive. The pool we are swimming at is really awesome! I've never been to it before, so this is my first meet at it. It's very fast too. The only down part is that we have to dive off towels because the blocks are too slippery. We could get hurt if we slipped. I understand. I would also like to ask you to check out my youtube.com channel at:
www.youtube.com/swimminginchlorine
More videos coming soon!
Anyhow, I should probably go eat some dinner. Watch tomorrow for my next blog!

The rest of my results

I got one best time last Sunday! 50 fly, I dropped a second. I was right on my best time in my 200 free. Oh well, I didn't drop. That's okay! I'll do better next time! Anyway, tomorrow is going to be a fun day! My 2 friends play basketball and I don't. They always say I should come to one of their games, so this time, I AM! I'm going with my other 2 friends that don't play b-ball either. It's going to be fun! I have to rush from the pool to my school to see their first game, then I am going to hang out with them and wait for the second game. Hope they do well! I'm very bored right now, and I think I'm going to catch up on my zzzz's. Hehe. Oh I should also tell you, my friends and I are FINGER-KNITTING the American Flag!! It's really awesome. We have to do the blue square and some more stars, finish sewing all the stripes together, and we're done! We started last week! We are fast. There is 8 of us though. I will put a picture on my blog when we finish it. I am thinking we will finish it Thursday or Friday. I think I'm gonna go play Cube World with my brother. Talk to you lata!!!!

Shark Meet!

Well right now the morning session is swimming in the Shark Meet. I'm in the afternoon. Yesterday I got a best time in my 100 free, and we got out JO in the 400 freestyle relay!!!!! WOO HOO! I didn't get best times in everything, but that's okay, because I just had 100% best times at Indy, which was 2 weeks ago. You can't get best times at every meet. Today I am swimming my big race, the 200 free! I'm really excited about that. The pool is really fast, and short. The blocks are weird though. They are super low. But they still make me have a fast dive!!!! I hated warm-ups though. I hope they spread us out a little more,  but that probably won't happen. I'm not even kidding about this. We had at least 30 kids in our lane. NOT KIDDING, NOT EXAGGERATING! 30-45 kids in our lane! It was so crowded. And this one girl from Gold 2 was being really mean. I'm a lot faster and she wouldn't let me go ahead. Don't tell anyone but I turned around with in front of her and it worked! I got ahead. But she kept scratching my feet so I just kicked her. Haha. That's what we swimmers do. Anyway, I'll blog again tonight after I'm done swimming. Toodles!

Did you like those warm days?

Hiya! Sorry I didn't blog sooner, but there has been nothing to blog about really. Did you guys like those warm days? I know I did! It was 65 degrees! I wore a light jacket and some capris! It was pretty awesome! I went outside and rode my bike, and I also went to my Grandma's house. We went for a mile long walk. It was fun. I always have fun at her house. As I said, I went for a bike ride. I went with my dad, my mom, and my dog. Yes, my dog. You were probably thinking my brother, but he was playing with his friends. My dog can run with us because there is this special thing like a collar on my dad's bike and it just hooks on the bike then you put it on her, and she can run with us. If you get ahead of my dad, then she runs really fast, and all my dad has to do is steer. What did you guys do when it was warm? Spring break is in April, which is coming up soon! Everyone thinks, ugh its two months away, its not even close! Well it is actually. The year has been flying by, so before you know it, it'll be warm and sunny, and you'll be on break! Oh and I just remembered! I have a youtube account now, I just made one. I have 2 videos, because the one about Valentine's Day stopped early, so I deleted it. Please check them out at www.youtube.com/swimminginchlorine
Thanks!

Mistakes Michael Made

Most of you have probably not heard about the breaking news because it came out today so I will inform you. Michael Phelps was caught smoking pot. Yes that's right, you heard me, smoking pot. Michael Phelps is 23 years old and was out partying a few months ago at a college. He committed this crime about 6 months ago but they just caught him.  One of the students handed him the pot and he knew exactly what to do. This is one of the big mistakes he has made in the past years. Drunk driving, using the wall as a bathroom in a hotel room, and now this?! I, and many of my swimming friends, always thought Michael was like an idol to us. We did reports, made posters, always talked about him, and ALWAYS watched the news if he was on it. Now, we are really disappointed. If you want to learn more please visit www.swimroom.com
Michael said in his newest blog on www.swimroom.com "I engaged in behavior which was regrettable and demonstrated bad judgement. I am 23-years-old, and despite the success I have in the pool, I acted in a youthful and inappropriate way, not in a manner that people have come to expect from me. For this, I am sorry. I promise my fans and the public - it will not happen again."
That is what Michael Phelps said on February 1, 2009 at 1:32 PM. Can we believe it?

Indiana!

Guys I am so sorry I didn't blog sooner! I feel really bad.  Last weekend we had a meet in Indiana. It was the the BB meet. Friday I swam the 500 and free and.......... GOT MY JO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My time was 5:49. something. Then on Saturday I swam the 200 IM, 100 fly, and 50 free and a relay. I got best times in everything! Except the relay because it doesn't count since its not individual. But we still did good in that! Then on the last day I swam the 200 free, 100 free, and 100 back. I got best times in all of those too! Here are my times:
200 IM- 2:38 (Dropped 2 seconds)
100 fly- 1:15 (Dropped 3 seconds)
50 free- 29.71 (Dropped a little)
200 free-2:15.01 (Dropped 1 second)
100 free- 1:03.00 (Dropped 2 seconds)
100 back- 1:13 (Dropped 2 seconds)
Those are my times! My friend, Katie, didn't get to go, and she really missed me and all my friends that went. I did bring my computer to talk to her, and that was fun. If you are some of my friends that went, then we had very good memories didn't we?! Thanks for looking at my blog. I will have a new one later today. GO PAWW! GOOD JOB TO EVERYONE WHO WENT TO THE MEET! And of course I missed you Katie.

Where do you want to go to college?

Hi guys! I've always wanted to go to University of Texas, and that is my dream. I want to get a full scholarship for swimming, but I want to go there for journalism and photography. I want to write a book on the ocean, with photographs in it. Sounds cool right? My friend, Katie, wants to go to University of Florida for astronomy. My friend, Jordan, wants to go the college Michael Phelps trained at for swimming and journalism. It's in Michigan. My friend, Madison, also wants to go to Florida like Katie, but for journalism. We all like to write! I have a lot more friends, and when I find out what they want to go to, I will edit this blog. University of Texas is in Austin, Texas. It is a really nice college, home to Ian Crocker. They are the longhorns! as you can see at the top.  The most famous thing on campus is the Clock Tower which you can see in the top right corner.  I will be putting lots of pictures in my upcoming blogs, if you are wondering. Anyway, please post a comment, telling me what college you want to go to, what college you are in, or what college you went to. Thanks for checking out my blog!

Hildy and Me

This is just like Marley and Me, but with my fur-ball, Hildy. Hildy is a beautiful German Shepherd. She is black with tan legs. Very pretty dog. She was only 7 weeks old when we got her on that cold November night in 2006. She was so tiny then. Now she is the biggest dog I've ever seen. We call her a fur ball because she is just hair! She sheds everywhere! That first year was the hardest. We had to train her to sit by the door when she had to go to the bathroom. We had to train her to be obedient. And it snowed so much that year!! She loved snow. Whenever we took her out to go to the bathroom, it took forever to come back in. She would play around in the snow and it was hard to control her. When we got her, her name was Lovey, but it didn't fit her. So finally we came up with the name Hildy. Her full name is Hildy Von Pib and then our last name which I will not say. Pib stands for Pain in butt. Don't ask my mom made it up. Anyway, now Hildy and I always play with each other, lay on the floor next to each other and watch TV, and just mess around. I don't get her too wound up because then it's hard to calm her down. So that is what I have to say about Hildy and Me.

Crawfordsville!

I just got back from a swim meet yesterday night. I got lots of best times, and had lots of fun! In my 500 freestyle, I went a 5:53! 2 seconds off the J.O.!!!! Then I got a best time in my 200 free, 100 back, 100 fly, 50 breast, 200 IM, and both of our relays, free and medly, won the event! The hotel was actually a motel, which was pretty cool. We got a suite, and it had a hot tub in it! We played hostage in the hotel after the swim meet, which was extremely fun! If you don't know what it is, I will explain. Hostage is a game kind of like tag and hide and seek combined. Two or Three people are it, depending on how many players you have. Then the people that are "it" count to 60 or however long you want. The others pick a partner, and make sure your partner and you both have a cell phone, if not, someone to contact one and other, and go hide. When your partner or you gets caught by someone who is "it", the person takes you to the dungeon, and you text/ call your partner. If no one has a cell phone then the person who is it calls the kidnapped person's partner. So the people that are "it" have to have a phone. Then your partner can get past the people that are it, and come free you. Once you and your partner are both caught, you loose. It's really fun!! You have to make sure it's dark out, or their is a few dark rooms to hide in. Try playing it at a party! Don't forget to read my next blog called Hildy and Me!

Happy New Year!

SORRY! I posted a blog a few days ago, but it said their was an error that I couldn't fix. Then I had a swim meet and I just got back last night! Happy New Year! Sorry that it is so late. Hope you all aren't breaking your New Year's Resolution(s)! Mine is:
To spend less time on the computer, and more time helping around the house. I will keep track by a note book. If I go over 1 and half hours, I will not eat any sweet treats that day. If I stay under, I will reward myself with a few treats.
I hope you guys don't go overboard and have a lot! Don't have Resolutions that are unreasonable, or out of your reach. That will just stress you out, and make you mad because you aren't getting them. Start small and end big! My next blog will be about my swim meet, and the one after that will be called Hildy and Me. If you want, you can post comments on what your Resolutions are! Well, I'm going to get started on my next blog, so remember not to break your Resolutions! Happy 2009 everyone!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! I know I haven't posted in a week, but I got busy! Real busy. I had no idea you can get that busy, that fast. Anyway it's 2009 now! Are you guys ready? I know I am!! Two of my New Year Resolutions are:
1. To be more patient with people
2. To spend less time on the computer. Under 1 and a half hours a day.
What are yours? Hopefully you have one or two, but not many more than that. If you have more, it will stress you out, because you will be trying to concentrate on not breaking them, or doing them all the time. You also shouldn't make resolutions that are out of reach. Such as:
Play video games for 1 hour a week
Get 100% on every test. If you don't then you have to study for an extra hour for every test.

Those things are out of reach, and quite hard. If you do those already, I'm sorry. Anyway, I hope you all had a nice New Year's Eve and Day, because I know I did! Happy 2009 and remember your resolutions!

January.. tomorrow?!

Yup, as you can see by the title of this blog, January is tomorrow. Tomorrow is New Year's Eve. I am going to my grandparents' house again, after we go eat dinner and maybe go see a movie. I want to see Marley and Me, but as I've heard, it's a tear jerker. It has Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson.  I also want to see Bedtime Stories, which looks hilarious. It has Adam Sandler in it, who is very funny. So you all need to be thinking of your New Year Resolutions, which I am thinking of too. You all should try really hard to not litter, reduce lighting in the house, and other things that can help the planet. (Katie if you are reading this that sentence is dedicated to you.) I have no idea why I am up so early, but I think I'm gonna go back to bed soon. I hope you all are reading for 2009, because it's on Thursday! Goodbye 2008, Hello 2009! I remember saying Goodbye 2007, Hello 2008! But that is so last year. Well I will have 2 more blogs for tomorrow, and one is called Hildey and Me. You will just have to wait! See ya!

Power outage

It's me again! On the 19th of December we didn't have school because it was so icy out. We called it an ice day. On that Friday our power went out twice. Just for about an hour each time. Then on Saturday it went out at 7:30 PM, and stayed out until Sunday, 2:30 PM. It got down to 30 degrees in our house! We had to huddle up under the covers by the fire, wear hats and gloves, two pairs of socks, and a nice warm jacket. The only things we could eat were chips, granola bars, cereal (But you had to get in milk fast out of the fridge), and other things that didn't have to be cooked. It really stank. I hated that weekend. But if this ever happens to you, just do this:
1. Get 3-4 blankets.
2. Put hats and gloves on, and make sure you have a jacket and socks.
3. Put the blankets by the fire place, but not too close. Just lay them over each other on the floor.
4. Grab some pillows and put them with the blankets.
5. Crawl under the blankets to stay warm.
6. Hopefully, by the time the power comes back on, you won't have froze to death. (It's a joke, it's a joke.)
So if it ever happens to you, just follow those steps and you should be fine! I survived didn't I? Or did I? What if I am a talking zombie?! You better run! ;)

Happy Holidays! Did you have a good Christmas? I know I did! I got everything I wanted, and more! On Christmas Eve, the skit went really good, and it was pretty funny. I was so happy with what I got for Christmas, and I hope you were too. As everyone knows, 2008 is almost up, and you need to start thinking about your Resolutions. Anyways, back to Christmas. If you want, you can leave a comment telling me a few of the things you got for Christmas! Here are some of mine:
Digital Camera
Purse with girl stuff in it
Ed Hardy clothes, such as, shoes, 2 pairs of leggings, and 2 pairs of tights.
Hot Topic clothes, such as, 2 paris of socks, leg warmers, and a wallet.
And tons more!

I should be at swim practice right now, but I wanted to sleep in one day on Winter Break, and I chose today. I will be swimming tomorrow morning, and Friday morning though. I just wanted to let you all know, that last night we did 63x100's free! My legs are kinda sore right now, but my suit was digging into my side and neck, and it kills! I am reading Eclipse right now, not very far into it, but I'm going to go read it! Bye!!
